Highlights
Next Meeting – Wed, March 12 at 6:30pm - Holy Cross Church Basement- 118 Center Rd. Social time: 6:30-7:00, we will meet in the kitchen until the Boy Scouts leave at 7pm.
Refreshments –Linda- Sunshine will provide paper goods, tea, coffee, hot water
Program- Thanks to Bev for her hard work and continually showing us how to make fun projects. Feb. was her last meeting and she will be moving up north. She may be back for visits during the year. We all wish her well. Making the Candle cradle was fun and easy last month.
Is anyone interested in taking over as Program person???
Challenges/Projects-
Block of the Month project- Sally provides a new pattern each month. Have fun with triangles
Log Cabin Swap- Round 1-bring your 1st 20 blocks in a brown/cloth bag, include your name and any color preferences.
Some future projects –Coaster that doubles as wine glass holder, Bag that uses pieces of metal tape measure as the closer. Other ideas- hand quilting, pillow cases, hand appliqué, landscape quilting…fabric swap- bring in a yard of old material…
Discussion Items/Reminders/Sewing Days-

Sewing Day-Holy Cross, Sat. March 29 10:15am-4pm. Celeste has 3 bins of material from Childhood Cancer Lifeline that will be used.

Weare Patriotic Days: Sat. July 12 and Old Home Day: Sat, Aug. 23rd, 9-4pm. This is the 250th anniversary. We will have a sewing day to make things to sell, such as crayon bags, potato micro bags, curling iron bags, scissor holder, coasters, potholders…The guild will choose one of the days to have a booth.

Sewing Day with Irene- was postponed, she had the flu. Please keep her in your thoughts during her recovery.

Secretary position-Carol Richardson has volunteered to transition into my position as secretary. A big thanks to Carol for accepting the challenge.

Organizations requesting quilts-Please fill out a form so the guild can decide which ones to donate to and what is needed

Monetary Value- The donated quilts need to have a monetary value placed on them so we continue to prove we are a charitable guild

Dues Reminder for 2014 - $15 /year
