Happy New Year!

 

Highlights Next Meeting – Wed, Jan 8 at 6:30pm - Holy Cross Church Basement- 118 Center Rd. Social time: 6:30-7:00, we will meet in the kitchen until the Boy Scouts leave at 7pm.

 

Refreshments – Bev and Celeste - Sunshine will provide paper goods, tea, coffee, hot water

 

Special Thanks – Everyone had a wonderful time at the Christmas party. Thanks again to Carolyn for hosting it. Thanks to everyone for the delicious food. Claudia won the raffle for the Pieced Christmas Tree wall hanging-Congratulations!

 

Thanks to Ann and the other members that helped put the gift bags together for the nursing home. Program- Ideas for future programs were brought up at last month’s party.

 

Hand quilting, pillow cases- Margie to demo, Hand applique-Rose Marie to demo, Landscape quilting- Merlene to demo Challenges/Projects- · Block of the Month project- Sally emailed the latest block to everyone·

 

Carolyn brought 17 quilts to Liberty House·

Hospice in Merrimack has requested quilts. Will try and coordinate all the quilt requests in 2014 to determine how many the guild can handle.

 

Discussion Items/Reminders/Sewing Days-·

 

2014 officers will be voted are: Pres-Ann, VP-Carolyn, Treasurer-Karen M., Secretary – Judi, Program – Beverly, Sunshine- Margie/Charlie-alternate·

 

Dues for 2014 have increased- A vote was taken to raise dues from $12 to $15 /year·

 

The guild will pay the $25 dues to the New England Quilt Museum·

 

Sewing Days-Celeste will check with Holy Cross on sewing days for Feb/March·

 

PO Box Rental – we now pay $78/yr for a box. The guild needs a business address in order to keep its tax exempt non-profit status. Karen will look into a smaller box, $54, but it may not be available at this time·
