Thanks to Linda for demonstrating the Double Diamond. Everyone had fun doing it and they all came out great!
This message was received on our website-I live in Weare and have walked in the 3 day, 50 mile Challenge walk for Multiple Sclerosis since 2002. I am part of a team organizing an upcoming fundraiser entitled "Cruising for a Cause" on Boston Harbor to benefit the New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's efforts to find a cure for MS. We are holding a cruise with a silent auction on 8/10/13 and still gathering items for it. I have heard there is an individual in town who donates quilts for charity and would like to introduce myself and ask if she would consider donating a quilt for the auction. Thank you for your time! I look forward to your reply. Sincerely, Susan Messner.
Since we couldn’t wait for the next meeting, the officers decided to donate a quilt that had already been made for a charity.
Sheila asked if the Guild would like to sponsor a brick. It's called Weare Town Hall Flagpole Project. The cost is $35.00 for three lines of print up to 15 characters long. It's an Eagle Scout Community
Project run by Tyler DeStefano.
Bev would like to start a baby quilt challenge, anyone interested please bring in 3 fabrics either in the pink or blue colors. So either 3 pink or 3 blue. More info at the meeting.
Does anyone enjoy being creative with their computer? Would like to have cards made up with the guild contact information on them to distribute at shows.
Reminder- dues are $12.
We will have a 50/50 raffle each week. $1.00 for 2 tickets. Ann will be in charge.
Please let Bev know if you would like her to research a project/instructor, or if you would like to demonstrate a project this year.
Contact the Sunshine members – Margie/Carolyn, if you know of a member that they should send a card to: get well, thinking of you, sympathy….
